The evolution of the current Bubba’s PAMPERED Pedalers premium bicycle vacation model dates back to 1993, when Bubba founded the life, the legacy and the “It’s ALL Good!!” vibes. Over two decades of memorable bicycle vacations later, the torch of stewardship has been passed to new hands. By a stroke of fate, Philip and Patrick struck up a conversation with Bubba on the KATY Trail in 2018, setting in motion the transition that culminated in June 2023, as the PAMPERED Pedalers legacy was entrusted to a new generation to honor and carry forward.

Talk about a legacy to honor and carry forward! For those who’ve experienced a Bubba’s PAMPERED Pedalers ride, it’s clear how Bubba carefully crafted bicycle vacations featuring exceptional rides, top-tier accommodations, fine dining experiences, and good ol fun.

Bubba often stressed that the bar could be raised, and what he built had one essential takeaway…PAMPER the Pedalers while offering affordable bicycle vacations. In his words “offer something different – not simply a bike tour, but a vacation with some biking tossed in.” As the new owners we are thrilled to continue the journey by developing exciting new rides that propel this legacy into the future. As we uphold and continue the legacy, we are committed to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction, loyalty and of course…the FUN!

Transitions inevitably bring challenges and learning experiences, yet we are fully committed to ensure that on that final ride day, after a bike vacation filled with joy and adventure, our riders depart with a sense of longing. The goal is for our riders to hold dear those cherished memories, engaging conversations, and the breathtaking scenery that can only be truly appreciated on two wheels.

Meet the New Owners of Bubba’s PAMPERED Pedalers!

Our lifelong friendship began in East Africa, where we served as Peace Corps Volunteers in Kenya from 1993-95. Our geographic roots both stem from the Midwest, Philip hails from St Louis and Patrick is a Cincinnati native. Paths of life after those magical years lead to lives in international diplomacy and the banking\finance\real estate industry in Seattle. Throughout the years, our shared fondness of cycling has taken us to escapes in Eritrea, Zanzibar, India, Nepal, China, Thailand, Switzerland, California, Washington and of course Missouri.

Five years ago amidst the scenic backdrop of the KATY trail, our paths crossed with Bubba’s Pampered Pedalers at one of Bubba’s SAG stops. On a 90+ degree day Bubba graciously quenched our thirst, fed us and indulged our curiosity about his remarkable bicycle vacation business.

As we pedaled on, so did our contemplative minds during long stretches of the KATY. Inspired by Bubba’s dedication and the joy he brought to cyclists, we began to envision ourselves providing that level of service. Phil, in a burst of excitement, boldly declared, “I’m going to buy that business!”

Fast forward to today, and here we are on another journey together as the proud new owners of Bubba’s Pampered Pedalers. Our encounter with Bubba was more than a chance meeting; it was the spark that ignited a passion to continue the legacy of extraordinary experiences for cyclists.
