AMAZING BIKE

COLORADO

August 25-31, 2024

August may be a sweltering, sticky month for most of the U.S., but a cool riding experience awaits you on Bubba’s PAMPERED Pedalers Amazing Bike Colorado Tour.

Embark on a Rocky Mountain high adventure, where you’ll be treated to stunning mountain vistas, colorful canyons, deep blue skies and comfortably low humidity. Glide along mostly off-road paved bicycle paths, occasionally transitioning to tranquil,  low traffic roads with dedicated bike lanes.

Amazing Bike Colorado is designed to be bike-friendly. What does this mean?  There will certainly be some bumps in the road, after all, you are biking in Colorado. Take for instance, your Tuesday ride over Vail Pass and through Vail town. Even with that formidable Vail Pass climb you will no doubt conquer, overall, the riding day will have more downhill than uphill. Whether you are gaining or losing altitude, you’ll be immersed in the blissful scenery of the Rocky Mountains.

Wednesday brings the awe-inspiring Glenwood Canyon Trail. Cycling under colorful, towering cliff walls along the Colorado River then finishing at the historic Hotel Colorado, your cozy abode for the next three nights. Thursday you will enjoy an optional riding day in Glenwood Springs. If you prefer a day out of the saddle you can white-water raft the Colorado River or relax in the world’s largest natural hot spring pool, or maybe both. After all, it’s your vacation.

As the week winds down, Friday promises a scenic ride to and/or from upscale Aspen for a taste of summer luxury in this renowned ski resort town. This “Biking Vacation With Serious Altitude” is sure to fill up fast, so don’t miss out on the excitement!

Note: Please be advised that all BPP bicycle vacations include daily options for reduced mileage. Prior to each days ride, typically the evening before, you will be notified about choices for the day (two shortened variants) and necessary arrangements will be made to accommodate your preferences.

Note: Daily Mileage Subject To Change

Price Increase:

Due to industry trends in the hotel and hospitality industry, post Covid, we have had to raise our prices.  Also new in the 2024 tour is the inclusion of your first night accommodation (hotel & a light dinner) in the tour price. Past customers consistently raised the issue and under new ownership we are doing our best to make the tour packaging more convenient and comprehensive.

Take advantage of Early Bird pricing and register ASAP!

Pricing is based on receipt of registration and deposit. Mail-in registration/payment must be postmarked by the early bird expiration date. Online payment must be received on or before the early bird expiration date.

Note: Double/Triple/Quad rate is only available to those sharing a single room with two beds.

Starting in 2024, Bubba’s PAMPERED Pedalers will offer a limited number of bicycles available for rent.  Our inventory primarily consists of hybrid bikes, with a small selection of gravel bikes, sorry but no EBikes at this time.  If we have enough advance notice, we can typically find a bike that fits your needs.  Our goal is to offer customers well-maintained bikes that are not new, but are priced affordably.  If you’d like to rent a bike from us, please reach out to discuss our inventory and determine if we have a suitable option for you. Keep in mind that if you decide the bike doesn’t work for you when you arrive for the ride, you won’t be able to switch it out.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the dates for Amazing Bike Colorado 2024?

August 25-31, 2024

I will be flying in. What is the closest airport?

Denver International Airport is the closest airport.

If I fly, how do I get to the starting point?

There are multiple companies offering shuttle service from Denver.  We recommend

Summit Express, (970) 668-6000

I will be driving. What can I do with my vehicle while on tour?

The Ramada Frisco, 990 Lakepoint Dr, Frisco, CO 80443 will be our host hotel.  Free long-term parking to riders is offered at the hotel.

Do I need to equip my bike with anything special?

All bikes must be equipped with a front facing headlamp and a rear facing red blinking light, which must be activated at all times.

Will there be other activities besides biking?

The starting town of Frisco offers options for various outdoor activities.

Glenwood Springs, location of the non-riding day, has many wonderful options including Natural Hot Spring Pool and White Water Rafting on the Colorado River.

What type of bike should I bring?

Most of the riding will be on paved surfaces – no dirt or gravel! Last year, all bike types were accommodated, with road and EBikes being the majority.

How many bags can I bring and how are they moved forward?

Each rider can bring two pieces of baggage, with each piece not exceeding 30 pounds. Your bags will be taken care of in the morning by our staff, who will move them to your next lodging location and bring them directly to your room. That’s why PAMPERED is the name of the game.

I’m a vegetarian. Is that a problem?

Not a problem.  That said, vegetarian is the only other dietary option available.

Are non-riders welcome?

We welcome everyone. Non-riders will need to complete the same registration forms and pay the same fee as a rider. A non-rider will be part of every aspect of the tour except the riding if they so choose.

What if, for some reason, I cannot finish the biking day?

No problem. If you feel you cannot finish the day’s ride, our staff will assist you and your bike to get you to the ending location. No questions asked.

Alternatively, each evening before the next day’s ride we offered shortened mileage variants where we will move you forward and this way everyone ends at the same point.
